An Intimate Affair – Tatiana & Adam {Houston, TX}

Today’s wedding is very very special to me – not only because it took place in my hometown but quite honestly, I think that more brides need to see weddings like it. More times than enough, we get caught up in what people expect us to do for our wedding day. We tell ourselves “I don’t need a 5-tier cake” and we’re okay with it…until we tell a friend, or a family member that we’re not having a 5-tier cake…and then all hell breaks loose. lol Everyone seems to have a say on what you should do for your wedding, how grand it should be done, and how long the guest list should be…and often times, we succomb to the pressure. If what you want is a simple, truly intimate, stress-free wedding day without all the glitz and glam, you can definitely have it, and it can still be just as amazing! Today’s wedding is a prime example of just that. Check out Tatiana & Adam’s story and be inspired!

From Kelly (photographer): “On this Easter Sunday Tatiana and Adam tied the knot in a super sweet and intimate ceremony in the middle of Hermann Park, right outside downtown Houston.”

“Tatiana got ready with her girlfriends and sister who all helped her with her beautiful Christian Louboutin shoes (a present from Adam) and her adorable BCBG dress. Meanwhile Adam suited up with some of his boys at their apartment just across the street from the hotel.”

“Their event went from originally planning a large “to-do” to realizing that it was not what either of them wanted and deciding on simple nuptials on a Sunday morning in a public park.”

Not Quite Yet: Tatiana takes it all in and enjoys a peaceful moment alone before taking her walk down the aisle.

^ Love love LOVE her bright colorful bouquet!

Kelly says: “Everything was so awesome. The azaleas were in full bloom, and there was absolutely NO need for any other decor. The clouds covered the approx. 50 guests right up until the ceremony ended. It really was a perfect morning for an outdoor event!”

Under the beautiful greenery, Adam waits for Tatiana to make her grand entrance while close family and friends look on.

^And here she comes… absolutely stunning photo!

^ Tatiana is a blushing bride indeed. I love this photo!

…and Adam looks on with adoration! ♥

Adam adds a little humor to the day in the photo below. What a fun couple!

^ Sealed with a KISS!

What a beautiful picture! The park really did provide a great setting and I love all of the bright colors.

Each guest received a yummy, individually wrapped cupcake to take home and enjoy.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Tatiana & Adam – you guys are just too much! Your wedding was so unique and “flavorful”. Kudos to you both for staying true to yourselves and getting exactly what you wanted for your wedding day. Everything looked amazing!

Also, a huge THANK YOU to the super talented Kelly Hornberger for sharing the pictures. I first stumbled across this wedding over at one of my favorite blogs, The Bride’s Cafe and have followed your work ever since. You’re definitely great at what you do. I hope to feature more of your work here on the blog.

Until next time folks –

Emerald
