Happy New Year!!!

Can you believe it’s 2012?! Wow, wow, wow…time really does fly! The month of December was a busy one for me but I’m so glad to be back to blogging. If you’re interested, I shared an album from my trip to Kuwait on the wall of Facebook fan page. Of course with a new year, we’re planning to bring new things to the blog as well. You may have already noticed a few changes, but here’s a brief list of some things you can look forward to in 2012.

1. Navigate Using Tags – Now each wedding post will include tags with the location, photographer, wedding colors, etc. This will help with navigation throughout the site, so if you want to see all weddings in Georgia, or all weddings by a specific photographer, just click the tag link and it will direct you to those specific posts.

2. Follow Us On Twitter – We’re on Twitter now! Follow us at @Yeswewed and tell your friends to follow us too. We’ll be posting tweets frequently now since my babe got me an iPad for Christmas. :) Gotta love him!

3. New “Fabulous Finds” Posts – I’ll be adding a bi-weekly post that will share all of the wonderful wedding planning tools, tips, videos, etc. that I think may be helpful to the brides-to-be. Although the main point of the blog is to showcase real weddings, I often see very cool stuff being shared amongst boards and other sites that I want to share with you. So the “Fabulous Finds” post will do just that. Btw, I’m trying to find a new name for this because “Fab Finds” is so overused. Lol I need something original but I’m stuck so do share suggestions if you have. :)

4. Participate in the SuperBowl Showdown – Okay, do you all remember the Halloween Costume post?! We’re going to do another photo submission post but this time it’s going to be you and your hubby sporting your favorite NFL team gear. Details about this will be posted soon, but start looking through those photos now, so you won’t miss the deadline.

5. Enoy all the New Weddings!!! – I’m so excited to be building relationships with new photographers from all over. We had over 6000 visitors in 2011 (and my first post was in August)! I know that 2012 will be even more phenomenal and I can’t wait to share all of the new photos and videos with you all. Here’s a sneak peek at some of what’s to come in the next few weeks.

Before heading to Kuwait, I posted the creative engagement shoot of Yashica & Jason. Check back soon for their wedding day pics as well. Yashica looked amazing!

Remember Oneika & Jamar?! Well their awesome photographer has sent me another wedding showcasing her great work. Stay tuned to see pics of Silky & Henry’s wedding day.

I know you’re going to be drooling all over this wedding once it’s posted. Vida Carson Photography sent over so many great photos of Shalon & Darwin‘s wedding day, I think I’m going to make this a 2-part post. Can’t wait!

This photo look familiar to you? It’s because it’s from our highly-favored and most popular post-to-date. You all loved Keith’s letter to Joanne so much, that I figured I’d also share their wedding pics. The pics are from 5 years ago, but the love still radiates through each photo.

Cecily & Medhy‘s wedding will be a great treat to the blog as well. Their ceremony pics are just beautiful and I know you’ll enjoy the pics of the African Dance Ensemble they had perform at their reception. You might want to just subscribe to the blog to make sure you don’t miss it. ;)

Amina & Larry are good friends of mine. Their wedding day was so special and I can’t wait to share their pictures by ArtsGroupPhoto. I’m hoping to also share a write-up from the groom about the wedding planning experience and marrying the love of his life. Fingers crossed I can add that as well.

…I think that’s enough “sneak peek”-ing for now. Until next time… Happy New Year!

“Like” it if you Love it,
