Stacie & Joe {Athens, GA} – Part I

I’ll start by saying Stacie & Joe are quite the couple. Their faith-based love is evident not only in their pictures but also in the messages that they’ve sent for me to share with you. Sit, back, relax and try not to cry out of pure joy for this couple.  These beautiful images are by the super talented team over at Fixed Focal Photography. I’m a HUGE fan of their work!

Love the personalized shirts! Here’s an excerpt from the imprinted scripture.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Joe’s Advice to Grooms: Be patient and offer as much help as you can. Be sure you communicate what you like and do not like and MAKE an effort to understand her and help her weed out her needs and wants (because they could be pricey). When she wants to vent, let her vent and do not try to offer a solution. If she wanted an answer she would ask you but she wants you to BE there for her. Most importantly, take the initiative to work on the foundation of the marriage because that is what the rest of your lives will depend on, NOT the wedding day.

^ All dressed up and ready to go. Have you ever seen a bouquet with accessories? I think it’s the perfect touch to Stacie’s beautiful white bouquet.

Stacie’s Advice to Brides: RELAX!!! Try to remember throughout your planning process that you are not only planning a wedding, you should also be preparing for marriage. You should try to place even more of your time, effort, and energy into creating a marriage that will last because besides pictures, videos, and memories of the wedding, the wedding day itself will be over before you know it.

^ How moving is this picture? I’ll admit I got a little teary-eyed when I first saw it. I’m such  a sucker for LOVE!

These ceremony pictures are so beautiful. I love the simple warm lighting lining the aisle…not to mention the personalized runner. Everything seems to go together so seamlessly.

The kiss at the altar always makes me smile. ♥♥♥

^ Sock shots are so fun! Everybody’s doing it and I love it! Haha

Where are Stacie & Joe headed next? Well they’re headed to their reception of course. You can join them there when I post Part II of their wedding next week. :)

Here are some sneak peek shots until then.

Check back next week for PART II – it comes with a little surprise.

Also be sure to “Like” the post if you love it. As always, I’d like to extend a big Congratulations to the couple and a heartfelt “Thank You” to the photographers over at Fixed Focal Photography. This won’t be the last of their work that you’ll be seeing. They have sooo many great weddings they’ve agreed to share with me and I can’t wait to show you all more.

Until next time – xoxo,

– Emerald
