About Yes We Wed
Yes We Wed is a wedding photoblog created to inspire couples of color and celebrate the uniqueness of cultural union. Inspired by the beauty and resourcefulness of wedding inspiration blogs, yet frustrated by the lack of African-American presence found amongst them, Emerald Stewart developed Yes We Wed. With real-wedding images from photographers across the nation, the blog serves as a meeting place for brides-to-be, wedding vendors, and anyone who relishes at the sight of Black Love!
About Emerald Stewart
Hi, I’m Emerald! (No need to bore you with talking about myself in 3rd person. :)) I’m not a photographer. I’m not a florist. And though I’ve planned a few, I wouldn’t really consider myself a wedding planner. I simply love beautiful weddings! I keep a busy schedule as a full-time Meeting Planner for a non-profit in Washington, DC as well as a Professional Cheerleader for the Washington Redskins. If you’re anything like me, you LOVE a good love story; a love story with pretty pictures? Even better! Oh and if the bride makes you think of your beautiful sister, girlfriend or maybe even makes you picture yourself on your wedding day…I’m all over it! And that’s exactly what I hope to do – Inspire, Relate and Celebrate the beauty of Black Love! Yes.We.Wed! ♥
