It’ssssss MONDAY!!! Which means another edition of Monday Morning Mentions! I know you are like, “Emerald, we appreciate your Monday Mentions but we want to see more real weddings!!!”  lol I promise you they’re coming. The blog is a little over 5 months old now and believe it or not… I am still trying to figure out how to continuously bring you guys everything you want and more while balancing work life, personal life, social life etc.

#1 – Chelsea-Black.com lists the Top 14 Movies about Black Love. Of course Love Jones is listed, along with Love & Basketball. Check out Parts 1 & 2 to see the others.

#2 – MunaluchiBridal.com (one of my fave sites for black brides) released their Winter 2012 E-zine. Check it out! The bouquet in the cover photo was created by one of the best florists I know, Janie of Janie Medley Flora Design.

#3 – LaurenNapier.com put together a beautiful blog about “Women of Color” from last week’s NAACP Awards. Click the photo for the actual post.

#4 – BlackandMarriedwithKids.com says “Marriage was NOT Designed to Make You Happy!” Wow! Powerful words! Check out the post that digs a little deeper into this unnerving yet genuine statement.

#5 – Who loves a great proposal??? I know I do! Check out the super creative proposal video of Charity & Robert! Robert definitely put a lot of thought into making his lady feel extra special on their engagement day from sun up to sun down. So cute! Check it out!
